Udonis Haslem parents and siblings

Udonis Johneal Haslem is an American professional basketball player who was born on June 9, 1980 in Miami, Florida, United States. Haslem attended Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Florida, then Miami Senior High School in Miami. He helped lead Miami High to state titles in 1997 and 1998 (the last two of three in a row), playing alongside another future NBA player, Steve Blake.

Haslem accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Billy Donovan’s Gators teams from 1998 to 2002, while majoring in leisure service management. He played college basketball for the Florida Gators, where he was a key member of four NCAA tournament teams.

Haslem went undrafted in the 2002 NBA draft largely due to his relative lack of size for a forward; he measured just 6 ft. 6 in (1.98 m) at the NBA pre-draft camp.

On August 6, 2003, Haslem signed with his hometown team, the Miami Heat. As a rookie, he played in the Rookie Challenge during All-Star weekend, earned NBA All-Rookie Second Team honors, and helped the Heat reach the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Haslem is married to Faith Rein-Haslem, a sports broadcaster, whom he dated for 14 years. He met Rein in 1999 while attending the University of Florida, where she was a member of the Florida Gators track and field team. The couple have three sons. He also has two brothers and three sisters.

According to reports, Haslem’s parents are Johnnie Haslem and Debra Haslem. Haslem’s father, Johnnie Haslem, died Aug. 30 at age 70 while his mother, Debra Haslem also passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. Very scanty information is known about the parents of Udonis Haslem.
