One injured when SUV crashes into motorcycle in Grand Forks |

Cooper Bakke Grand Forks Motorcycle Accident: 18-year-old hospitalized after SUV crashed into a motorcycle in Grand Forks.

In a media release from the Grand Forks Police Department, it was reported that at around 2:19 p.m. on Friday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of 24th Ave South and South Columbia RD in response to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers identified the motorcyclist as 18-year-old Cooper Bakke from Grand Forks, who was riding a 2018 Yamaha Motorcycle.

The SUV driver was identified as 89-year-old Jeanne Zimmerman, also from Grand Forks, operating a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.

Mr. Bakke was subsequently transported to Altru Hospital due to injuries sustained in the accident; however, his current condition remains undisclosed, as stated by the police.

Jeanne Zimmerman received a citation for failing to yield the right of way at a controlled intersection.
