Bobby Flay marriages: Who are the chefs ex-wives?

Bobby Flay marriages and how they have all ended up to this day is not something that anyone would be so enthused about. Having to divorce three times is worrisome, but that is what has befallen the celebrity chef, Bobby Flay.

Bobby Flay first got married in 1991, a marriage that ended in 1993, lasting just two years.

Two years after, he got married again in 1995, that marriage in 1995 didn’t last any longer too, as in 1998, just three years after, that one too ended on the rocks.

Bobby Flay focused on building his empire after the collapse of his second marriage as he stayed unattached for 7 years from 1998 to 2005.

After the seven-year period, Bobby Flay decided to go at marriage again one more time.

That too ended on the rocks, unfortunately, in 2015.

This account of Bobby Flay marriages isn’t too good–to get divorced three times is no good thing.

What caused Bobby Bobby Flay marriages to fail?

well, it is not too clear why all three of Bobby Flay Marriages failed.

It has become rampant for celebrities to get divorced and most often, it is not in the public domain what caused the divorce.

Bobby Flay first wife

Bobby Flay marriages began in 1991 when he got married to Debra Ponzek.

Debra Ponzek was also a chef, like Bobby. she was born and brought up in Morristown, New Jersey.

She studied engineering at Boston University, but dropped out and decided to pursue a career in cooking and attended The Culinary Institute of America in New York City where she graduated in 1984.

She would later return to the Institute to give the commencement address to the students in 2015.

Bobby and Debra met and decided to get married within a matter of weeks without any delay.

They were both nominated for the 1992 James Beard Foundation Award for Rising Star Chef, and Flay attempted to withdraw from the category when he learned he was nominated alongside his wife. The Foundation refused, but when he won the following year, Ponzek presented him with his award.

Debra later divorced Flay and married Greg Addonizio, moving to Connecticut.

When they opened Aux Délices together, Ponzek was pregnant with their first child; they have since had two more.

Bobby Flay second wife

The second of Bobby Flay marriages was when he married Kate Connelly in 1995.

Kate Connelly was born on the 21st March 1964, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, and is of white ethnicity while her nationality is American.

Further details about her family’s background have never been publicly revealed to the present day, except that her father is a journalist and her mother is a housewife.

Upon matriculating from a local high school, Kate enrolled at Massachusetts College, from which she graduated with a degree in journalism.

Kate and Bobby first met in 1994 when he guest-starred in an episode of “Robin Leach Talking Food” TV show, and they were ‘instantly attracted to each other, so soon began dating.

After only a couple of months, Kate and Bobby became engaged, which was followed by an intimate wedding ceremony that took place on the 1st of October 1995.

However, this was not their first marital experience – between 1991 and 1993 Flay was married to Debra Ponzek, while Kate had already become a mother from one of her previous relationships.

However, after three years of marriage during which they welcomed a daughter named Sophie born in 1996, the duo first separated in 1998, and divorced soon afterward, the reasons behind it still remain unknown publicly.

Bobby Flay third wife

Bobby Flay got married for the third time in 2015, this time to American actress, Stephanie March.

March was born in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of John and Laura March, and has a sister, Charlotte.

She attended McCulloch Middle School in Highland Park, and Highland Park High School, where Law & Order’s Angie Harmon, who also played the role of an assistant district attorney on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, attended concurrently.

After her parents’ divorce, her mother married Robert Derby.

In 1996, March graduated from Northwestern University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

After five years together, Bobby Flay and Stephanie March were married on February 20, 2005, at St. Peter’s Episcopal in New York City by Rev. K Dennis Winslow.

March, an alum of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, kept her own last name throughout the marriage, which lasted ten years before they filed for divorce in 2015.

The couple ended their marriage amid rumors that Flay, who was 50 at the time, was having an affair with his assistant, Elyse Tirrell, who was 28 at the time and worked at one of Flay’s restaurants, Bar Americain, before becoming the famous chef’s assistant.

In response to the allegations, Flay’s representative released a statement saying they would not publicly respond to the alleged affair.

March and Flay had a prenuptial agreement in which Flay had to pay his ex-wife $5,000 a month.

This is the account of Bobby Flay marriages. He had dated after the three divorces he suffered but he hasn’t married anyone as of yet.
